X-Men: Apocalypse Website Adds Playable Retro Video Games

Ahead of this month's release of X-Men: Apocalypse, 20th Century Fox is building excitement for the 1980s-set superhero movie by releasing a trio of old-school video games (all with a mutant twist) on the movie’s “Retro X: Arcade” website. The playable games are also a slight nod to the character of Quicksilver (played by Evan Peters), who is a devout gamer.
Mutant Conquest is based on the classic arcade game Pac-Man, but with some Raiders of the Lost Ark mixed in, while Revenge of Hero X has the same gameplay as Asteroids. Lastly, Mutant All-Stars Track and Field features events like the 100-meter dash, high jump, and javelin throw—all very reminiscent of Nintendo’s Track & Field.
To play, all you need is a mouse and keyboard; the games are free and available at SpaceportArcade.com. The website also features cute and shareable X-Men emojis and GIFs. X-Men: Apocalypse hits theaters everywhere on May 27, 2016.
