A Ghostbusters VR Experience is Coming to Madame Tussauds

Sony Pictures, Ghost Corps, and The Void have teamed up with Madame Tussauds New York to create a completely immersive walk-through attraction and virtual “hyper-reality” experience called Ghostbusters: Dimension. The VR experience, which will open on July 1, will only be available at the wax museum's Times Square location.
Fans will get a chance to step inside the spooky world of the Ghostbusters, as the new team helps participants hunt, track, and catch supernatural ghosts through a New York City apartment complex inside of The Void’s VR technology, using costumes from the movie plus props, vehicles, and gadgets, including proton packs and ghost traps. The experience is also designed to take participants through multiple scenes from the new Ghostbusters reboot.
"Ghostbusters has an incredible, passionate fan following, and now VR technology allows the fans to become a Ghostbuster themselves within Madame Tussauds New York,” Ivan Reitman, director of the original Ghostbusters, said in a press release. "The technology is breathtaking, the experience is thrilling, and what better way is there to use VR than to let audiences inhabit the stories they love."
Ghostbusters: Dimension debuts exclusively at Madame Tussauds New York on July 1, while Ghostbusters hits theaters everywhere on July 15.
