Getting your hands on the original melted Darth Vader helmet used in The Force Awakens (2015) may be a challenge, but now Star Wars fans have the chance to buy the next best thing. As Geek reports, Lucasfilm is selling highly-detailed replicas of several props featured in the film.
The "Ultimate Studio Edition" includes seven highly-collectible items in addition to Vader's $3500 piece of head gear. For between $1250 and $2500 fans can purchase exact copies of Rey's staff, her lightsaber hilt, Kylo Ren's helmet, his hilt, Poe Dameron's helmet, Finn's Stormtrooper helmet, and Chewbacca's bowcaster.
The gear is handcrafted by the same firm that made the props that appeared in the movie using the original digital models. You can watch them recreate Darth Vader's mask in the behind-the-scenes video below.
Both Finn's blood-stained Stormtrooper helmet and the melted Darth Vader helmet are limited edition, with only 500 of each being made. Fans who have their eyes on either should act soon: All items are made to order and take up to 16 weeks to ship. If you don't have thousands of dollars to spend on the collector's items, consider checking the attic for older pieces of Star Wars memorabilia to sell.
