Mattresses are heavy and difficult to move, which is one of the reasons city dwellers see so many of them scattered on the street instead of at the dump. They are largely considered an eyesore, but to street artist Lor-K, the discarded mattresses are full of artistic potential.

In Lor-K's series called EAT ME, mattresses abandoned on the streets of Paris are finding new life in the form of giant food. Apparently, the foam makes for great fake bread, while blankets can pass for imitation whipped cream. From an enormous pizza slice to oversized sushi rolls, the series transforms unsightly (and large) litter into something people can enjoy.
