A Gigantic Noah’s Ark Is Opening in Kentucky

Creationists are opening a theme park of biblical proportions in Kentucky. In addition to zip lining, camel rides, and a zoo, the new theme park Ark Encounter features an enormous seven-story Noah’s Ark, built according to biblical specifications; the website claims it's the largest timber frame structure in the world.
Gizmodo reports that the massive ark cost $100 million to build, and that the project was spearheaded by Answers in Genesis, a creationist Christian group that believes the Earth is only 6000 years old. Scientific consensus does not support this view.
Ark Encounter draws on the stories in Genesis for its exhibits. Visitors to the giant barge can see the legend of Noah, the flood, and his animal unfold before them. The inside of the ark features a range of themed exhibits, videos, artwork, and animatronic versions of Noah's many creatures (including, apparently, dinosaurs).
