Mini Wooden Arcade Brings Retro Gaming to Your Desktop

There are plenty of ways to play classic arcade games at home, but nothing compares to an old-school joystick. A new game console spotted by Gizmodo offers the retro gaming experience in a sleek, wooden package designed to fit on your desk.

The desktop arcade comes from 8Bitdo, a tech company best known for its gaming controllers. The new project was recently revealed on their Facebook page and showcased at this year’s Gamescom convention in Cologne, Germany, but so far limited details have been shared. It may be a while until the product becomes commercially available (if it ever does), but luckily there’s at least one more portable arcade console on the market.
