Every year more than 3 million visitors flock to the grounds of Versailles. The palace was constructed in the 17th century, and King Louis XIV’s opulent vision for the property is still maintained today. If you can’t book a trip to France to take a tour in person, this new drone footage offers a look at the UNESCO World Heritage Site from a stunning perspective.

According to Travel + Leisure, the video was shot using an aerial drone and published to Ville de Versailles's YouTube channel. The footage captures some of the site’s most impressive features, from the manicured gardens to the historic architecture. The Ville de Versailles says this marks the first time a film of Versailles has been edited together using nothing but aerial footage. Viewers can take the virtual tour below.
