Skydiver Loses His Shoe—And Somehow Catches It Mid-Fall

Usually when you lose something roughly 13,000 feet in the air, you don't expect to get it back. Fortune smiled on one parachute jumper, however, who managed to catch his lost shoe in mid-air.

The shoe was initially lost during a failed attempt at a trick called the Mr. Bill. The maneuver involves two jumpers leaping from the plane at the same time, with one rider holding onto the other. If all goes according to plan, the first diver will deploy the parachute and both participants will use the same rig until the second diver leaps off and deploys their own. Usually, the force of pulling a parachute knocks the second diver off, so it's a difficult trick to pull off.

As you can see from the video, this Mr. Bill didn't pan out, and the rider was torn from the other diver almost immediately. The shoe came loose, too, and began to fly haphazardly back and forth in the air. Despite whipping back and forth, the first diver was lucky enough to catch it and put it back on. We're not sure what the odds are there, but if that was us, we'd go buy a lottery ticket.
