Instagram Account Provides News Updates—With Cookies

Whether it's the ending of a beloved series or the split of a Hollywood couple, big news always makes its way to the watercooler. It also turns up in cookie form, thanks to the Instagram account Cookie the News. The deliciously creative account churns out sugar cookies coated in royal icing that broadcast the big (light-hearted) news of the day.
Each short video starts with a blank cookie that's soon piped with colorful icing to reveal a subject from current events and pop culture. Recently, the cookies have been made to look like a Cleveland Indians player eating Taco Bell for the World Series, a Vine button in honor of the app closing, and a scary Jack-O'-Lantern for Halloween. So far, 82 cookies have been baked and iced in honor of the headlines. The account is one of the many series created by the foodies over at Tastemade.
