When you think of influential photographers of the last century, names like Ansel Adams and Man Ray come to mind. We'd like to suggest another name for your consideration: Harry Whittier Frees. Frees was a prolific animal photographer, and though he had no way of knowing it at the time, his work with cats anticipated social media's great love affair with our furry friends.
