The New York Times has come out with a newspaper every day since its founding in September 1851. This is what that looks like in timelapse form. Artist Josh Begley—who has previously visualized the entirety of the U.S.-Mexico border using satellite imagery—put together a video flip-book of the front page of The New York Times through the ages. It’s a good reminder that news photography is still a relatively new technology. The Times didn’t publish its first front-page photo until 1910.
