Emulate a Vintage Mac Running System 7 in Your Browser

When I first used a Mac, I spent hours just playing with it, digging around in the Control Panels and eventually making bad art in MacPaint. Coming from my mouseless text-only IBM PC, the Mac was of a different universe, and it was fascinating.

Today it's easy to forget what a revelation those early Macs were. But if you're on a desktop computer, you can emulate a Mac Plus running System 7, complete with MacPaint, MacDraw, and Kid Pix. If you used a Mac in the '80s or '90s, this will bring you right back.

But don't stop with drawing programs! Programmer James Friend has also made available a Mac with a handful of apps and games (including a version of Risk I remember playing in a computer lab), and an old System 6 Mac crammed with games.
