The Forgotten Early Roles of Successful Actors
Earlier roles are often forgotten about. We just have to look at how many forgotten faces there were on the likes of Supernatural, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and NCIS, for example. In fact, an early performance from Pedro Pascal on Buffy resurfaced in recent years, although those who rewatch regularly will have always remembered it being there.
Johnny Depp is best known for his roles in Pirates of the Caribbean and Tim Burton collaborations, but what about his earlier performances? Did you remember that he first appeared in A Nightmare on Elm Street back in 1984? Yes, he’s the one who got pulled into the bed!
Fellow Pirates star Keira Knightley has a notable role that is often forgotten. She played Sabé, and Fake Padmé, during Star Wars: Episode I — The Phantom Menace, back in 1999.
There have also been plenty of uncredited roles from big actors that people are finding now. Just take Robert De Niro, who came up in our quiz. His first-ever role is one that he wasn’t even officially credited for.
These early roles have led to some impressive claims. Bill Paxton appeared in The Terminator, making him the only actor to be killed by a Terminator, an Alien, a Rock-n-Roll Hall of Famer, and a Predator!
So, if you want to remember where the most successful actors started, it’s a great time to look back at their earlier works. You may be surprised to find out that they took guest-star spots on TV shows, some of which are still on the air today.
