Out of all the ‘90s sitcoms, there is one that stands out the most. Friends is one of the most relatable and quotable shows of all time. You know lines such as “Pivot!” and “We were on a break!” but what about the many other lines uttered by your favorite characters? Can you match the character to the line? While this started off easy, we did try to make it a little more difficult with some of the recurring guests on the series. So, if you got 8/8, then you deserve all the bragging rights. Best Side Characters From Friends

You know the main characters, but what about those who popped up for specific arcs? There were characters who would show up now and then with their annoying remarks, or others who would be there to help with specific growth. Of course, some became more beloved than others.

Who doesn’t love seeing Tom Selleck’s run on Friends? He played Richard Burke, Monica’s suave and sophisticated boyfriend. There was a time when we wanted to see them together, but then Monica and Chandler became a thing, and they just worked so well. That being said, we wished the best for Richard, knowing he was actually a good guy.

Another good guy was Mike Hannigan, played by Paul Rudd. He may have only shown up toward the end of the series, but he played an important part without it feeling forced. He was there for Phoebe, helping her grow without changing completely. He definitely became the unofficial member of the group.

June Gable’s appearances on Friends as Estelle Leonard were always something to look forward to. She would come in with the worst advice, and you had to wonder how she kept her job as an agent, but she helped to bring in plenty of laughter and memorable moments.

We can’t forget about Janice, played by Maggie Wheeler. While she may have been bothersome when she did appear, underneath the nasally laugh was a woman filled with heart and compassion. She didn’t work with Chandler, but she offers some sage advice and support when needed.

Finally, we have to remember Gunther, played by the late James Michael Tyler. He was a staple of the series, whether it was just to deliver coffee or to pine over Rachel. Did you want to see him get the girl by the end?
