If you came to this list a little apprehensive that the Marvel Cinematic Universe would have a monopoly on it, fear not.

Yes, the MCU inarguably looms large, with four entries in the top 10 alone—Black Panther (2018), Avengers: Endgame (2019), Iron Man (2008), and Thor: Ragnarok (2017)—and many other films somewhere in the top 50. It’s not the highest-grossing movie franchise of all time for nothing.

Movies derived from Marvel Comics that don’t explicitly fall under the MCU umbrella are well-represented, too. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018), which is also Rotten Tomatoes’ best animated movie of all time, took the top spot with a 97 percent rating. Logan (2017) landed in 10th place, and several other X-Men films also made the list, including 2014’s X-Men: Days of Future Past in 20th place and 2011’s X-Men: First Class in 30th (2019’s Dark Phoenix, one of the biggest box office flops in history, is unsurprisingly nowhere to be found).

But it’s not just a Marvel world that we all happen to live in. Wonder Woman (2017), Shazam! (2019), and more DC Comics films ranked high, and right behind Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse sits an original and very beloved Pixar creation: 2004’s The Incredibles. Its 2018 sequel clinched 11th place. The list is peppered with other kids’ favorites, from Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie to The LEGO Batman Movie, both released in 2017. There are also six other Batman works, including all three films from Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy.
