After the shopping frenzy of Black Friday and Cyber Monday, businesses often take part in Giving Tuesday as a way to support charities and other worthwhile causes. To give you a sense of what this year’s event (which takes place on November 29) entails, we compiled a list of 10 businesses that are donating a portion of their sales to a cause they care about today.

1. Williams Sonoma

For Giving Tuesday 2022, Williams Sonoma (along with fellow brands Pottery Barn, West Elm, and others) will match customer donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital up to $400,000 in the U.S.

2. Benefit Cosmetics

In honor of this annual event, Benefit Cosmetics is offering a free holiday card. The brand will donate $5 to Planned Parenthood for every one that’s sent to help the organization continue to provide healthcare services and educational resources to those in need. Additionally, the brand is giving 40 percent of all sale proceeds from its Bold is Beautiful line to partner charities, including Girls Inc. and Dress for Success. This beauty brand is donating 20 percent of all profits today to Girl Rising, which helps to support education for girls worldwide by collaborating with educators, businesses, nonprofits, and other community-based organizations. Girl Rising also offers educational resources, including films, books, and television and radio programming, which helps empower young women.

To celebrate this annual charitable event, the brand is giving 20 percent of all proceeds today to the Farmlink Project, which helps fight food insecurity by connecting food banks to farms with surplus food to help those in need. You can also purchase select nonprofit phone grips from the brand, and they’ll donate 50 percent of the net product sales to the organization associated with it.

Co-founders and couple Helen Russell and Brooke McDonnell started Equator Coffees in 1995 to help make lives better through the brown brew. For Giving Tuesday 2022, the brand is giving 100 percent of all proceeds from their Holiday Collection to the International Women’s Coffee Alliance (IWCA), which strives to empower women within the international coffee community.

Tower 28 founder Amy Liu has had sensitive skin her whole adult life, which limited her access to beauty and skincare products. As a result, she created Tower 28 to ensure that the right ingredients were being used in products for people like her with sensitive skin. In celebration of Giving Tuesday 2022, the brand created the Rescue Tee, and is donating 100 percent of the T-shirt proceeds to Heal The Bay, a nonprofit focused on coastal water conservation efforts in southern California.
