Liana Aghajanian is a multimedia journalist from Los Angeles by way of Iran who has written for L.A Times Community News, LA Weekly, EurasiaNet, Global Voices, Paste and Spot.us. She recently returned to the West Coast after spending time in London and Armenia, where she filed stories, rescued a few street dogs and trekked through the mountainous region on Soviet era buses while hanging onto dear life.
