The Best Love Interests in Sitcom History

There are some love interests that stand out more than others for all the right reasons. They become the characters we root for and depict the type of love we want to find. They show us that opposites can attract, and sometimes, the perfect person for you is right in front of you.

Just look at Monica and Chandler in Friends. The two started off as supportive friends, with no intention of ever getting together. It’s not until Ross’s wedding that they finally end up together, and even then, there are a lot of questions about whether it’s the right thing to do.

This slow-burn romance turns into one of the best developments on the entire series, leading to a supportive and stable married couple who are there to hold each other up, completely going against the chaotic mess that most love interests are.

Another positive romance on a sitcom is Jim and Pam from The Office. Nobody at Dunder Mifflin saw this relationship coming at first, and in the end, they brought out the best in each other. There were the inside jokes and the subtle glances that all led to them finally confessing their feelings. And the best part? Despite all the chaos within the office, they supported each other and had each other’s backs.

We also can’t overlook Schitt’s Creek’s David and Patrick. This couple started off as a business partnership, but it soon became much more than that. David found the perfect man for him, creating a romantic love story rather than just a romance, and we could see they were destined to last long after the show.

Not all love stories played out constantly on the screen. Brooklyn Nine-Nine fans will initially think of Jake and Amy, but what about Holt and Kevin? The two went through some struggles toward the end, but they found their way back to each other because they were perfect for one another and just needed reminding of that.
