At this point, it should go without saying that you should never leave the theater once the credits start rolling at the end of a Marvel movie. It's a lesson that every MCU fan eventually learns, because if you don't stick around, you won't get to see the teaser for an upcoming movie Marvel Studios has in store for fans.
Speaking at the 2018 Britannia Awards, where he was being honored for his contribution to the entertainment industry, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige spoke about the importance of Marvel's post-credits scene tradition.
"Movies bring people together, but they also bring people together behind the scenes and in Marvel Studios, we've been putting a scene after the end credits in all of our films since the very beginning," he said. "The fans love it, it's a tease of something to come."
Feige then spoke about how the post-credits scenes mean fans will sit back and acknowledge all those who made contributions to the film.
"The audience is going to sit there and look at all the names of the hundreds of thousands of people who work so hard to bring these movies to life. That really inspired me as a kid, to see all those names, and I hope it inspires people today," Feige continued.
Marvel's next major release will be Captain Marvel, which hits theaters on March 8, 2019. And obviously, fans should stay glued to their seats for the guaranteed post-credits sequence.
