Matthew H. Ward is a historian and sports journalist whose work has been published in numerous print and digital media outlets. He has covered some of boxing’s biggest matches from ringside and has also provided extensive reporting on hockey and college football. A native of Matawan, New Jersey, Ward currently lives outside Philadelphia with his family. He is the co-author of Boxing in Atlantic City (with John DiSanto) and The Raritan Bayshore (with John Allan Savolaine). Ward is a member of the International Boxing Research Organization (IBRO) and the Football Writers Association of America (FWAA).
