Bruce Springsteen Highlights Every Fan Needs to Know

Very few artists have embodied the soul of American rock ‘n’ roll in the way that Springsteen has. His career has spanned more than five decades, delivering unforgettable performances and timeless anthems. In fact, he’s defined generations of music, becoming an inspiration for many. And along the way, it’s led to some major career highlights.

In 1975, Springsteen achieved something that very few musicians had up to that point in time. In fact, it’s something that very few even do now. He appeared on the covers of Time and Newsweek in the same week, and it was all thanks to his album Born to Run. That album became a national phenomenon, connecting to people of all ages because of its look at youth, freedom, and uninhibited ambition.

While Born to Run is certainly an album many will think of, there is another that stands out more in his discography. Born in the U.S.A. is one of the first that people think of thanks to the iconic song. It’s the album that calls to large stadiums, and everyone remembers the magnetic stage presence he had in the 1980s.

Like so many greats, Springsteen performed at the Super Bowl Halftime Show. It happened back in 2009, when the show was focused on performance, stage presence, and rock power. His performance remains one of the most celebrated, forever ranked as one of those that will be hard to beat.

There’s no doubt that Springsteen has influenced generations, and not just with his music. This is a man who captures a crowd. He can bring the energy and not just feed off it when he’s on the stage, making it clear why he has enamored fans for the last five decades or so. Even if you didn’t think you were a fan, you’ll soon realize just how many tracks you know when you start playing them.
