Jenn Thompson

Profile: Jenn graduated from Wake Forest University in 2005 with a degree in Political Science. Seemingly the only person in her major that had absolutely no inclination to go to law school, Jenn decided to ignore her degree altogether and jaunt off to Los Angeles for a gig as an entertainment reporter for Daily Variety. While there she made ladies room small talk with the cast of Desperate Housewives, got growled at by Gary Busey, and verified once and for all that Nicole Ritchie is roughly the same size as an 8-year old child. From there she moved to Chicago to become a fashion writer for Time Out Chicago. As it turned out, having to wear a mammoth poofy coat 11 months out of the year is exactly as miserable as she had predicted it would be, and so she migrated back down south to North Carolina where she belongs. She is now a freelance writer for publications including Charlotte Magazine, Weddings Unveiled, and The Atlantan. Shockingly, she also managed to find a way to use her degree after all: she tracks national and regional environmental and energy legislation as part of her full-time job as the Director of Media and Public Relations for Southeast BioDiesel. Take that, law school suckers!
