Do you guys think it’s wrong to dress my four-month-old up and go trick-or-treating this year? Even if she has a really sweet costume? (We’re thinking about dressing her up as Uncle Fester to take advantage of her semi-bald state.) Alas, we’ll probably continue being the ones handing out the candy this year instead of the ones making the rounds. We take pride in the candy we hand out - at the Conradt house, you won’t be getting crappy Mary Janes or rock-hard pieces of gum that slice up your gums like razor blades. Nope, I’m happy to say our candy selection (usually a Reese’s assortment) lands us firmly on the list of the Top Ten candies kids look forward to at Halloween. Hershey conducted this survey last year, and here’s what kids said they look forward to finding in their candy bags:
1. Reese's Peanut Butter Cups(Really?)
8. TwizzlersThey also found that houses with black shutters are 77 percent more likely to hand out Kit Kats, two-story houses tend to hand out Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups (guilty!) and visiting a house with a brown door increases your odds of getting a plain old Hershey bar by 32 percent.
What’s your favorite… or what will you be sneaking from the kids’ stash when they aren’t looking?
