Welcome to Trailer Thursday, where we help you decide what to do with your Friday night. Here’s what’s coming out tomorrow.

The Great Gatsby

You’re already familiar with the story, I’m sure. If not give this a shot: The Great Gatsby in 133 seconds.

See it if:

- You’re a Baz Luhrmann fan. Except for Australia.
- You’ve been waiting a lifetime for BFFs Tobey Maguire and Leonardo DiCaprio to appear in a movie together again. (Your 1996 special edition of Teen Beat called, and it’s sooooooo excited!)
- You don’t mind disappointment. Despite the hype, Gatsby isn’t getting stellar reviews. The Chicago Tribune says, “The actors' efforts to get something going the old-fashioned way — by interacting with each other, in the service of the characters — get shoved to the sidelines, in favor of one more blast of glitter.”

Aftershock

“In Chile, a group of travelers who are in an underground nightclub when a massive earthquake hits quickly learn that reaching the surface is just the beginning of their nightmare.” (Mom always said underground nightclubs were bad news.)

See it if:

- You have a strong stomach. Eli Roth’s films certainly don’t spare the gore.
- You love disgusting sound effects. This film apparently has a lot of them.
- You don’t mind social commentary disguised as a horror film.

Peeples

Meet the Parents.

See it if:

- You miss David Alan Grier. (I do.)
- You want to see a Tyler Perry movie that Tyler Perry isn't in. Despite the title Tyler Perry Presents Peeples, Tyler Perry is nowhere to be seen.
