Walmart just announced that on October 15, over 3500 store locations will be adding a dedicated collectibles section for products from Funko, McFarlane Toys, CultureFly, and Loot Crate.
According to ComicBook.com, Brent Duwe, senior buying manager for Walmart U.S., shared:
"We’re introducing a new assortment to serve fans in a way we haven’t before. Our new collectibles section will be a destination for our customers to find exclusive merchandise at the best prices for all fandoms, with more to come!”
Avengers: Infinity War fans will have the opportunity to purchase exclusive Thanos chrome figurines, available in all six colors of the infinity stones.
“We’re thrilled that Funko products will be joining the brand new collectibles section at Walmart stores across the country," Funko CEO Brian Mariotti said in a statement. "Collectibles is a brilliant addition to the merchandise display as is evident by the millions of people that shop pop culture favorites. We are eager to showcase Funko’s vast assortment of Pop! products in this new area and continue bringing joy to Walmart customers.”
CultureFly co-founder Edward Erani and Loot Crate CEO Chris Davis, also expressed their excitement to be partnering with Walmart, and much like Mariotti are eager to bring this opportunity to super fans across the country.
