New Captain Marvel Action Figure Might Confirm Jude Law's Role

Although the premiere of the highly-anticipated Captain Marvel is just two months away, and we've already seen two trailers for the film, one major part of the plot line is still being kept under wraps. Namely: Fans still have no idea who Jude Law is playing in the Brie Larson-led film.

Fans have theorized Law will be playing Mar-Vell, as even the IMDb page for the film lists him in that role. A huge blunder from Disney also tipped off fans in December, as they captioned a photo of the actor on the Captain Marvel website as: “Jude Law as Mar-Vell the leader of the Starforce.” However, just as people took notice, the caption was changed to simply “Leader of the Starforce.”

This had fans all but certain Law would be playing Mar-Vell, but now, another clue goes against this, hinting he will actually be playing Yon-Rogg, a Kree villain and military commander.

As Captain Marvel merchandise is being released, a fan recently noticed a certain Hasbro action figure which is explicitly named Yon-Rogg, along with a description of the character, beginning with “Leader of the Starforce.” They promptly shared it on Twitter.

People are now as confused as ever about Law’s role, with some people theorizing that he might be playing dual roles while others are joking that even Marvel and Disney don’t actually know who he’s playing. Hopefully, someone will figure it out before the film hits theaters on March 8, 2019.
