It has only been about 24 hours since HBO dropped its first full-length trailer for Game of Thrones season 8, and Reddit is already being inundated with a variety of fan theories. One of the most popular topics is trying to figure out what Jon Snow is looking at in what basically amounts to a two-millisecond clip in the trailer. In the scene (which occurs at the :53 mark below), Jon—brooding as usual—is looking at something in a dark corridor when Daenerys Targaryen approaches him and seems as if she is trying to console him.

Could the happy couple, who recently consummated their relationship, have just discovered that they’re related? Judging by their reactions to one another, it certainly looks like a tense scene. Reddit has a theory that Jon, who usually knows nothing, has finally figured out everything. And that he and his Auntie Dany are looking at the statue of Lyanna Stark, whom we know is Jon’s mother and Daenerys’s sister-in-law.

There’s been a ton of debate on Reddit on the specifics of the scene, however, including where on the wall Lyanna’s statue would be. Considering the viewers' perspective of the scene, fans are still not 100 percent sure Jon is looking at Lyanna, but it's definitely possible. And that's just the kind of juicy rumor to keep fans going until Game of Thrones makes its triumphant return on April 14, 2019.
