Anyone brave enough to see four of the most terrifying titans of the MonsterVerse all in one place are in for a treat. Just ahead of the newest Godzilla movie, Godzilla: King of the Monsters, the Burj Khalifa—the tallest building in the world—got a visit from Ghidorah, Mothra, Rodan, and, of course, Godzilla himself.
On the night of May 28, 2019, Dubai's 160-story Burj Khalifa building was lit up with moving images of the four monsters in a life-size projection that was large enough to intimidate the most courageous of movie lovers. The one-time event presented Godzilla at his actual size of 393 feet tall.
A video of the event, which has since been posted on Godzilla: King of the Monsters's Twitter page, shows fans gathered around to witness the incredible spectacle.
Godzilla: King of the Monsters stars O’Shea Jackson Jr., Millie Bobby Brown, and Thomas Middleditch introduced the moving picture invasion, explaining that Godzilla, Mothra, and Rodan are “the world’s biggest titans.” So where else would they appear other than the world’s tallest building?
Special effects played an important part in bringing this monster spectacular to life, as each titan appeared to make the skyscraper shake and shatter, and brought lightning bolts, falling water, smoke, and debris with them. Sounds from the film’s score could be heard, as could Godzilla’s iconic roar.
Catch Godzilla: King of the Monsters in theaters on May 31.
