For some people, tacos are a tasty meal to order if there’s a dinner special or even make from scratch on occasion. For others, tacos are the Alpha and Omega of all foods. They wake up thinking about tacos. They sleep to dream about tacos. In their opinion, every day should be Taco Tuesday.

If you fall into this second category, you’re an ideal candidate for McCormick’s first Director of Taco Relations. The gig is both part-time and temporary; you’ll work up to 20 hours a week, from September through December 2021, and you’ll be paid handsomely for your expertise: specifically, $25,000 per month.

Though the job description clarifies that “a previous taco job is not a prerequisite to submit, just a deep love of tacos,” you will need to know a little bit about what makes a great taco and what’s making waves in the taco community at large. Being savvy with social media is also a must, since your responsibilities include keeping abreast of TikTok trends, strategizing and creating taco-related social media content, and also promoting tacos via your own social media accounts. You’ll also get to “work with the McCormick Kitchens team to develop innovative and delish taco recipes, travel across the country in search of the latest taco trends, dialogue with other like-minded taco connoisseurs across social media, and be in on the latest Street Taco seasoning mixes developed by the McCormick innovation lab.”

To apply, you have to create a video (2 minutes or less) explaining why you’d make the perfect Director of Taco Relations and highlighting some of your favorite taco hacks, facts, toppings, and whatever else will make you stand out as a taco expert.

The deadline for submissions is July 20, 2021, and you can read more about the position here.
