The holiday shopping season doesn’t officially start for another few weeks, but some retailers have already started their sales events. One such place is Best Buy, where you can find early Black Friday 2021 discounts on best-selling home, kitchen, and smart tech gadgets.

From now through Sunday, October 31, you can shop the first wave of Best Buy’s early Black Friday deals event, (the next batch of deals will drop on Friday, November 19, so be sure to mark your calendars). The advantage of getting a jump-start on shopping now is that you can beat the rush and potentially circumvent supply-chain issues, which may impact shipping closer to the holidays.

One of the best discounts happening during this early event is on the popular Winix tower air purifier, which could be a great investment if you're looking for a way to improve your home's air quality and combat dust, smoke, and pet dander. Originally $250, it's on sale right now for $160, so you'll save $90. This remote-controlled unit uses a HEPA filter and can clean an area of up to 376 square feet; it's also designed to capture 99.97 percent of unwanted particles like mold and pollen and features on auto-on function, which kicks into gear when foul odors are in the air. "I’ve only had this air purifier for a few weeks but I’ve already noticed a huge difference and I can see that it’s working when it kicks on when I do certain things," one Best Buy reviewer raved of this 4.7-star-rated pick.

Beyond air filters, you can also save 50 percent on a second-generation Google Nest Mini, which comes with three free months of YouTube Premium. This device has more 4000 reviews on the site and a 4.7-star rating from shoppers who describe it as "surprisingly simple set up" and ideal for everything from playing music to setting timers and alarms. It's currently on sale for $25, compared to its typical $50 price tag.

You can also shop for useful kitchen appliances like this Keurig K-Slim single-serve pod coffee maker. Initially $120, it's on sale for $79, so you're looking at a $41 discount. More than 1300 Best Buy shoppers have tried this device, which was designed to be slimmer than an ordinary Keurig and thus take up less counter space. You can choose from three brew sizes—eight, 10, or 12 ounces—and make one cup at a time, with minimal waiting around. It even comes equipped with an auto-shutoff functionality that kicks in five minutes after your last brew.

Additionally, Best Buy is offering extended holiday returns on all items purchased now through Sunday, January 2, and you or your giftee will have until Sunday, January 16 to return any items (with some exclusions). For Totaltech and My Best Buy members, the retailer is offering guaranteed Black Friday pricing, meaning if you buy something now and the price goes down before Friday, November 26, you'll get a refund for the difference.

Check out all the products available in Best Buy’s early Black Friday deals event before it ends on Sunday, October 31.
