Cold weather might be on its way, but it's honestly never too late in the season to enjoy a frozen treat. This video from How It's Made takes you on a factory tour as ice cream is created from powdered skim milk, plant-based stabilizers and emulsifiers, vanilla, and lots of sugar. Once it's whipped and smooth, a filling machine feeds the mixture into two chocolate cake wafers; as the wafers come together, the machine places a rectangle dollop right between them. An amazing 141 ice cream sandwiches are pumped out every minute, but the process is actually strangely soothing to watch. The methodical operation is sure to both calm you and make you extremely hungry.
