Many of us who grew up playing RollerCoaster Tycoon on our desktops have since gone on to lead busy lives. Finding the time to build unrealistic roller coasters and drown annoying guests as an adult means being able to do so on the go. Fortunately for old-school RCT fans, engadget reports that a new version of the classic game is now available for Android and iOS.

For a one-time purchase of $6, players can experience the feel of the original RollerCoaster Tycoon and RollerCoaster Tycoon 2 on their mobile devices. Unlike other RCT games that have been released for mobile, this installment doesn’t mess with the retro quality of the early 2000s graphics.

"As the creator of the original RollerCoaster Tycoon PC games many years ago, I have seen how much excitement and entertainment they have brought to players all over the world," producer Chris Sawyer said in a statement from Atari. "It was my long term ambition to bring the classic game to modern touch screen devices as its visual style and tactile nature are so well suited to smartphones and tablets. Working with Origin8 Technologies' development team, we have been able to modernize the classic gameplay for touch screen devices while preserving the unique graphical style of the original RCT games.”

Players are able to do everything you’d expect from an RCT game, like construct rides, landscape parks, and manage money and staff. For extra in-app costs ranging from $2 to $6, users can access bonus content packs and a toolkit for editing scenarios and designing attractions. If you have room on your phone for one more nostalgic mobile game, you can download RollerCoaster Tycoon Classic from the app store and Google Play.
