When you think of the best movies of all time, many from the 1960s are always going to stand out. They remain classics, whether you want a fun heist or you need something with a little romance. Just how good is your memory when it comes to the actors, though? Can you name the iconic ‘60s stars based on three of their movie titles?

Did you get all the answers right? If you did, then you are definitely a movie genius. Make sure you share this with your friends and see how well they do. We think this might just call for a 1960s movie night—or maybe even a whole weekend!

The Iconic Stars of the 1960s

The 1960s redefined the movie star, and that meant changing our perspectives. As more people got TVs in their households, it meant that things had to change in Hollywood to remain relevant. The improved picture quality and story being told made all the difference.

In Hollywood, effortless charisma won out. There’s a reason Audrey Hepburn is remembered for her standout performance in Breakfast at Tiffany’s and why Sean Connery remains one of the world’s favorite James Bond actors. If the “kinda chic” social media trend was around in the ‘60s, they would be at the forefront of it.

At the same time, people started to want something new and something revolutionary on their screens, leading to the antihero. Paul Newman embodied the cool defiance of the rebel in his classics like Hud and Cool Hand Luke, and there’s no doubt that Steve McQueen remains remembered as the “King of Cool.” Whether it’s The Great Escape or Bullitt, he’s the reason many tuned in and then remained seated.

This was also a time period for the younger stars to make a name for themselves. Sometimes, it’s hard to remember that Dustin Hoffman and Faye Dunaway got their start during this era, but it’s because of the shifts that they became must-haves for Hollywood directors. They helped to bring The Graduate and Bonnie and Clyde to life in a way that no others could have at the time, setting course for successful careers.

Hollywood will always change, but there are some film icons who will remain immortal in our minds. We look forward to seeing them return to screens even today, and we wish that others could still be around to see how wonderful they would have continued to be.
