At the Morris Museum in Morristown, New Jersey, the exhibits come alive. The museum features an eclectic range of exhibits—from geologic specimens to model trains—but one of its strangest and most unique collections is The Murtogh D. Guinness Collection of Mechanical Musical Instruments and Automata. In this video, we tour the Morris Museum's collection of 750 mechanical musical instruments and automata, dating back as far as the 16th century. Each artifact is a mechanical marvel, full of tiny, hidden gears that allow them to move in eerily lifelike ways. Learn more on the Morris Museum website.
