With more and more details coming out about The Mandalorian—Jon Favreau's live-action Star Wars series, which will be the first to debut on Disney's new streaming service—we're now learning that a second Star Wars series is already in development.

According to Variety, Diego Luna will reprise his role as Cassian Andor from Rogue One: A Star Wars Story for an untitled live-action series set to stream on Disney Play. The show will reportedly be a prequel to Rogue One.

"Going back to the Star Wars universe is very special for me," Luna said. "I have so many memories of the great work we did together and the relationships I made throughout the journey. We have a fantastic adventure ahead of us, and this new exciting format will give us the chance to explore this character more deeply."

With The Mandalorian reportedly filming now, it should be only a matter of time until we get more details about this Rogue One prequel, such as the title and who will be helming it.

Given the big-name stars who have signed on to direct episodes of The Mandalorian, including Bryce Dallas Howard and Taika Waititi, we can only imagine the lineup for this new series will be equally stellar.
