Game of Thrones Betting Odds: Who Will Sit on the Iron Throne?

If Game of Thrones showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss really wanted to shock and surprise viewers, the epic series' finale would see everyone die and no one win their place on the Iron Throne after all. (Hey, it could happen.) But as the show's final season inches closer and closer, fans are obsessively theorizing who, if anyone, will win the coveted chair at the very end of the series.

There are, of course, more problems to deal with in the show than just who will claim the crown—like the never-ending war in Westeros and Cersei Lannister and Daenerys Targaryen's battle of wills. But who winds up on the Iron Throne is the primary question. Who will win the game?

Betting website OddsShark seems to think that Bran Stark is the major contender for the throne, as a result of the season 8 teaser trailer's nod to an ever-popular theory that he will become the Night King. While Isaac Hempstead Wright, the actor who plays Bran, has publicly dismissed the idea, that doesn't mean a whole lot (think of how many times Kit Harington denied that Jon Snow would rise again). According to the website, the odds of Bran reigning supreme are -150, with Jon Snow coming in second at +600 odds.

The odds get even stranger as Jon and Daenerys's nonexistent (but rumored) future love child makes the list ahead of the Mother of Dragons herself. Cersei Lannister, on the other hand, takes a surprisingly low spot—just slightly ahead of Samwell Tarly.

Fans will have to wait until Game of Thrones returns on April 14, 2019 to know anything for sure.
