Given the number of times elements from the first season of Game of Thrones have been brought back already in the first four episodes of the final season, we'd be surprised if there aren't more callbacks to come. Redditor rosebud89 is going so far as to theorize that by circling back to some of the more important storylines from Game of Thrones's first season, we might be able to predict how the show will end.

The theory begins by comparing Jon Snow to his adoptive father. "Jon Snow is obviously playing the part of Ned Stark. This leads me to believe he will be beheaded, but also he will have to behead someone for treason," the fan writes, and we can't help but wonder if his love interest and aunt Daenerys Targaryen will somehow be involved.

The theory also links Daenerys back to her brother, Viserys, who was killed when Khal Drogo poured a molten "crown" over his head. "This one is a stretch, based on Dany's brother dying in season 1 from a 'gold crown' Dany will die on the throne or poetically by being impaled by the throne," the Redditor claims, referring to the fact that Viserys demanded his crown before his death, and the Khaleesi continues to fight for the throne.

"Season 1's major battle was between the Starks and Lannisters," the user continues. "One Stark force lost a battle and the other won. It appears Jon is leading the surprise attack in this case, the forces that won in season 1, and Dany is leading the forces that were straightforward—the forces that lost in season 1."

Before season 8 premiered, Arya Stark actor Maisie Williams revealed that she went back and rewatched the first season after reading the script for the final season, as she found that "so much of it refers back to that season." She has certainly been right about that.
