We missed out on a lot of experiences this year, but binge-watching Netflix wasn't one of them. The streaming service has gained 30 million new subscribers since the start of 2020. Though Netflix doesn't release hard viewership data, consumer surveys can give us a good idea of what content is popular. As Forbes reports, these are the Netflix original TV series people watched while stuck inside this year.

The app TV Time surveyed its U.S.-based users to learn more about their streaming habits in 2020. Responses were limited to original programming that Netflix released after January 1—which means hit shows like Ozark and The Crown are missing from the round-up.

Subscribers who turned to Netflix early in quarantine shouldn't be surprised to see the docuseries Tiger King on the list. Shows that premiered later in the year, like the limited series The Queen's Gambit, also won over viewers. Comedies like Space Force made the cut as well. You can check out the full top 10 according to TV Time's survey below.

  1. Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness
  2. Locke & Key
  3. Space Force
  4. Outer Banks
  5. Love Is Blind
  6. The Queen's Gambit
  7. Never Have I Ever
  8. Ratched
  9. The Circle
  10. Sweet Magnolias

Even if you've blown through this year's most popular Netflix shows, there are still plenty of hidden gems worth checking out. Here are the best TV shows on Netflix right now.
