Why are you interested in applying to business school?
I'm looking to change careers and don’t currently work in a business-related field.

A comprehensive understanding of the business world and access to a job network I wouldn’t have otherwise.

Do most of the people who work in your target career have MBAs?
Not necessarily, but they all either studied business in undergrad or have work experience in the field.
Yes, it’s a requirement if I want to advance beyond a certain level in my field.
I’m not sure—I haven’t really spoken to anyone who has my dream job.

If you’re currently employed, will your company pay for some or all of your degree?
No, but even with the debt involved, I know it’s worth it.

How are your time management skills?
Pretty decent. I’ve grown accustomed to juggling life and career deadlines in my current job.
Excellent. I never miss a deadline, and am rarely rushing to finish my tasks last minute.
Poor. Time management is something I need to work on.

Are you interested in taking on a leadership role in your field?
Potentially, but that isn’t a priority anytime soon.
Yes, I’d love to learn more about leadership in a business setting.
The idea of taking on a leadership role doesn’t appeal to me.

What was your undergraduate coursework like?
A mix, with some quantitative courses thrown in.
Lots of quantitative coursework: accounting, calculus and economics.
Almost no quantitative or business courses.

It was OK, but I’ve since gained valuable work experience and/or made contacts that serve as mentors (and write me great recommendations!).
It was solid.
