Dinosaur
ANSWER: Ostro had a prominent, recurring role in Super Mario Brothers 2. He was an ostrich-looking character jockeyed by a Shy-Guy. Draconyx
SMB Villain
Dinosaur
ANSWER: The name means "Dragon Claw," and it was a native of modern day Portugal. It was an orinthopod, or bird-hipped dinosaur, from the late Jurassic period. The genus is known from only partial remains. Sounds like "Dragon Claw" and Clawgrip probably would have gotten along winningly. Like peas and carrots...which is perfect because Draconyx was a herbivore. The name means "Dragon Claw," and it was a native of modern day Portugal. Clawgrip
SMB Villain
Dinosaur
ANSWER: Clawgrip, another one of the bosses from Super Mario Brothers 2, was a crab-like villain who used to hurl rocks with reckless abandon- requiring the player to think on his/her feet and hone their reactionary assault skills. Clawgrip was no push-over, but if you could manage to catch his rock-bullets and turn them against him...you'd be just fine. Porcupo
SMB Villain
Dinosaur
ANSWER: Porcupos existed in Subcon (the world of Super Mario Brothers 2). The name is shockingly appropriate because they were small, land-based villains with spikes on their backs that moved very slowly (like porcupines)- so you had to watch where you jumped. As Aesop wisely instructed- look before you leap. Porcupos existed in Subcon (the world of Super Mario Brothers 2). Animantarx
SMB Villain
Dinosaur
ANSWER: The Animantarx was native to Northern Africa and was a quadrupedal herbivore with solid armor. The name means "living fortress" in Latin. Additional note- the Animantarx had a tail whip...which would make it a perfect fit for a Super Mario Brothers game. Albatoss
SMB Villain
Dinosaur
ANSWER: Albatoss, also from Super Mario Brothers 2, was a gigantic condor that would zip across the sky and drop Bob-Ombs. In some sequences of the game, whichever protagonist character you chose to be would have to ride on the back of an Albatoss to reach previously unattainable areas. Scientists recently have confirmed that the Albatoss is a distant cousin of the pterodactyl (this isn't true). Tryclyde
SMB Villain
Dinosaur
ANSWER: Tryclde was one of the "bosses" from Super Mario Brothers 2. Clearly inspired by the Hydra from Greek mythology, Tryclyde was a three-headed serpent that spat balls of fire from its forbidding mouth(s) and had to be knocked off its smarmy pedestal by a couple of accurately thrown building blocks.
