It's been 20 years since IBM PC users got their first look at real graphic "icons" with the introduction of the 2.0 edition of Microsoft Windows. So the folks at Redmond have had two decades to learn how to create intuitive icons that say what they mean. But how good a job have they done?
We've pulled ten icons from Microsoft Office 2007. While many of you will recognize Word and Excel, things may get a bit fuzzy from there. Good luck!
